The exact meaning of a configuration varies somewhat from window to window. Generally speaking a
configuration refers to a set of window settings such as the state of checkboxes, current pop-up menu states, and text in text boxes, but can include other configuration information if it makes sense for a particular window. You can save a default configuration for each window as well as named configurations you can reload at any time for any window that supports configurations.
